CVO Point – support and social integration
Our involvement in the field of free-time activities last for 3 years, hence we decided to set up an civil organisation in Šumperk and make our activities official.
Our purposes are
- Support the development of non-formal education
- Creation and realization of projects, aiming to support intercultural interfering and integration of handicaped people
- Developing and providing inovative educational programs for youth
Our activities
We are aiming at utilization of free time and non-formal activities of children and youth, in meaning to integrate social and economic disadvanteged children, develop their skills and abilities and help them to enter full-value life.
We are searching for this kind of young people and trying to engaged them, not with forcible form, into life among us. All our activities, including specialized, spare-time and sport group activities, interactive games, lectures and quizes are intentionally age-mixed, so that young people can gain some knowledge from olders and olders can learn to respect youngsters.
We are regularly organising exchange free-time activities and excursions to our close foreign neighbours. We are trying to teach children, youngsters and their parents about differences in human population and encourage them to develop intercultural dialog, to mutual tolerance and understanding, to develop acceptance of variousness and appreciation of differences among people of different culture.
All our activities are supported by volunteers, as highschool and university teachers, special pedagogic workers, various educators and students . Our foundation emphasize creation of conditions and provision backround for everybody, who is interested in participating in our projects aimed at get-togetherness, exploration, non-formal education and support of mutual co-existence.
We are trying to put our activities on transnational level, establishing contacts and comparing experiences with many similar organisations in EU nations and also in candidate nations for EU, through the Youth in action program and from EU funds. We are maping and comparing know-hows and good experiences of pedagogists, young people and we are searching for recent trends of non-formal education development.
